Hello and welcome to my personal website. I have developed this site over the past few months and am hosting it on my own on a raspberry pi. So since you are hitting my router and the raspberry pi, both of which are not high performance systems, at times or depending where you are located the speed of page download may be an issue. This really started off as a small experiement to see if I could do this with a Raspberry Pi and then has grown into a full site. I dont have to pay any hosting company for it.

On this site you will find information on various things I have interests in, am passionate about and have worked on. All photographs on this site are my own.

I hope you enjoy your visit. I hope to share knowledge and information about the People, Places, Science, Nature and so on that I have found very interesting and useful. This started from a notebook and went onto a blog that I started to write to keep a track of things I saw and learnt and this web site is an attempt organize it into a presentable view to share the experience and knowledge for everyone to enjoy whenever they are looking for something interesting to read or learn.

  In May 2021 I joined Amazon Inc.'s AWS's AI/ML organization and lead AWS Kendra in the following area product definition including Ingestion, Connectors, Analytics, AI/ML and NLP, Customer research, Pricing and Go-To-Market Strategy.

  I work for 8x8.com a market leader for Virtual Office Solutions and Virtual Contact Center Solutions and head the product organization for multiple products in AI and Analytics. 8x8 Analytics is an orgaization with multiple groups of talented engineers, architects, product managers, technical program managers focussed on delivering insights to help companies improve the delivery of services and products to their customers. This is accomplished by having the self built infrastructure for VOIP and SIP which generates voluminous data from which insights are generated specific to tens of thousands of customers. We develop state of the art services using advanced tools developed in house and also from leaders in the AI, Cloud, Analytics and Data Engineering space such as Amazon's AWS, Google's GCP, Cloudera, ElasticSearch, DataBricks etc. This helps to provide insights that are relevant and actionable to customers in multiple industry verticals such as Healthcare(Clinics, Hospitals, Pharmacies, Dentists offices, Emergency care centers), Retail, Automotive, Federal & State, Educational Institutions etc. I lead multiple initiatives across the company in building out a unified platform and unified set of services, applications and APIs and provide direction in designing AI solutions for Discovery, Predictive and Prescriptive opportunities for our customers.

  Besides product management some of my favorite areas to work in are Natural Language Processing, Visual Recognition with neural networks, Speech Recognition and Conversation flows and building intelligent conversational bots, time series based forecasting and predictive algorithms, Text Analytics with Neural Networks and Embeddings etc. I also like to work with data sets that I can apply the above disciplines and algorithms to to solve human problems such as Ebola Virus research data, Malaria, Law & Order and Education. Applying this to robotics to develop intelligent machines is another favorite pursuit.

  I previously worked in the Watson Group at IBM in the field of Cognitive Computing (or Artificial Intelligence) as a Solution Integration Lead in the Watson Public Sector Group. My primary role was in deploying instances of Watson Discovery Advisor and Watson Explorer Content Analytics, developing applications to support these deployments and designing and architecting solutions that integrate multiple technologies. The applications I developed are on various platforms (Windows, Linux, Mac) and include Front End UI applications, NLP, Machine Learning, Monitoring Applications etc. The technologies I worked with were bash, Java, JavaScript, Python, Node.js, Express.js, Backbone.js, HTML/CSS, PHP, Apache UIMA, uDeploy, Docker, Puppet, Watson Developer Cloud APIs, Watson Discovery Advisor, Watson Explorer, Watson Knowledge Studio etc.
